MeCycle was founded in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic by a husband and wife team that recently moved close to the Long Island Sound.  On their long, lock-down dog walks, they couldn't believe the amount of plastic washed up on the shoreline.  A conversation about "why", led to a year of research and testing around how to improve recycling.  The problem was one that they could not walk away from.  You'll often see them out with their patient dog Emily, picking up trash from beaches and parks.  They know that MeCycle can't solve every recycling issue, be they are determined to take a big bite out of the problem in their lifetime.
